Dear Oppo i was wondering if it was possible to take your cars ECU and somehow get a A.I. in you car. For example i thinking along the lines of Cortana from "Halo"

if it happens on the ECU: I can imagine it cutting out on the highway, preceded by "I just turned off your fuel pump, have nice day."

Is it possible? Sure. Just not with current tech. Come back in 10 years or so.

I've always pondered the idea, except how would you create a sentimental A.I.?

But do you really want an AI in your car?

If Cortana got in my ECU, I would hear "Watch it there's two of us in here" and "Bet you can't stick it" constantly. In reality there's limitations on current AI. People haven't even created an AI that talks fluently or doesn't consist of eight giant server farms. Also ECU's are VERY primitive computers compared to the hardware in your PC.
